The internet is simply a network of networks. There are many different networks of all shapes and sizes. Groupings such as Local area networks (LANs) and regional networks are examples of different configrations that connect networks. Many electronic devices such as your phones are all on a network that are considered part of the internet. (Even satellites are connected to the internet) All these separate networks added together make up the internet.
The World Wide Web, on the other hand, is the system that we use to access the internet. The Web is the most popular and widely used system but its not the only system that we can use to access the internet. This allows people all over the world to share knowledge and opinions. The way we access the Web however is through browsers such as internet explorer and mozilla firefox. Using these Web browsers you can visit various Web pages and view other online content.
